Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute

Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute (KPTI) teams up with Lil' Iguana's Children's Safety Foundation (LICSF) to help save our children from serious accidental injuries and child predators while we raise revenues for KPTI.

Since 1981 KPTI has provided care for injured children and programs to help prevent pediatric trauma. Preventable childhood injury is the leading cause of death in children. Through early childhood safety education we will help save children from unwanted injuries.

Prevention education against these types of injuries are vital for children to continue a healthy and happy lifetime. For this reason KPTI has teamed up with LICSF to offer a fundraiser for KPTI that will educate our young children about the importance of everyday safety in their daily lives and keep them safe. This program will generate revenue for treatment that KPTI continues to offer children throughout our communities no matter what their financial status.

LICSF has been using their powerful safety educational program in our schools and throughout our communities for the past 13 years with tremendous success. LICSF has been saving children as young as age two from serious accidental injuries and from child predators with their non-threatening music based educational program. This program has been hailed as the best prevention program by educators, doctors, police, parents, children and so many more that have seen Lil' Iguana. LICSF has been seen at many Kiwanis programs over the past years taking part in the education of young children.

We need all Kiwanis members to get the "Be Smart, Stay Safe" music and video kit into every elementary school classroom (grades pre-k to 2nd) and all childcare facilities. Having the use of these products will allow children an opportunity to retain important safety messages that will be used in their daily lives. We ask for your help by purchasing "Be Smart, Stay Safe" kits and donating them to all schools and childcare facilities in your community and state. Kiwanis will receive recognition on all of the video kits they distribute and help save our children.

Together we can make a big difference in the daily lives of the children within our communities. The goal for this fundraiser is to get the kits into every classroom in all elementary schools (grades pre-k to 2nd) and child care facilities across the United States.

The cost for the kits are $29.95 plus $4.95 shipping and handling. The kit contains (3) music CD's, (1) 22 minute award winning video, (1) guide for educators, and lyrics to the songs for children to sing and remember.
